Apheresis lets us draw out a specific component — platelets, plasma, stem cells or white cells — and return everything else to the donor, in one continuous, closed-loop procedure. It’s a more targeted, higher-yield way of donating, and it’s central to how we support patients who need concentrated platelet support or stem cell transplantation.
